The Last Supper

This passage relating to the Last Supper contains many significant principles for living a Christian life. One of the most important to me is the significance of Christ washing the feet of His twelve Apostles.

The message is: We should serve others instead of following the worldly influences in expecting to be served. As Christians today, we tend to make our own pursuits and desires the focus of our lives instead of having God as the center of our affections. It should be clear to us that God loves us very much, but also has put His hand on each of us for something special. I feel it is truly a joy to reach out to someone in need even if it is opening the door for an elderly couple.

I have taught young children for 23 years and I still get a joyful lift each day to see their smiling, trusting faces and know that they have been nurtured, loved and presented unique situations to learn at our Preschool.

Reach out and share your gifts. Anyone who has the gift of serving, should serve. Anyone who has the gift of teaching, should teach. Whoever has the gift of encouraging, should encourage. With the gift of being a leader, you should lead others. Anyone who has the gift of showing Mercy to others, should do so with joy. Everyone has a gift for something in serving or helping others, even if is the gift of being a good friend.

Reach out and share your gifts. It is a true act of Love.
